Godrej Properties has taken up a community waste management project in Mumbai to minimise household waste going to the city�s landfill. This project will determine if we can build healthier communities that generate near-to-zero waste. Godrej along with five societies across Mumbai had selected RUR after a lengthy vendor selection process.

The project has been a great success, relying heavily on the work and enthusiasm of the RUR team, their technical expertise and commitment to improving the sustainable standard of living in Mumbai. From sensitising residents and ensuring segregation of waste streams to set up of organic and dry waste systems in-situ, the RUR team has made this project a reality and helped to understand the possibilities of managing waste responsibility. We have built a strong case for all developments to near-to-zero waste communities thus eliminating the stream of problems caused by urban waste.
